Vivekananda College of Engineering & Technology was established in the year 2001 by Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Puttur, to provide value based technical education blended with Indian traditional & spiritual values. The campus is spread over 25 acres of green land at Nehru Nagar, Puttur adjacent to Mangalore-Madikeri State Highway, about 48 Km from Mangalore and about 13 Km away from Uppinangady- an important junction on Mangalore-Bangalore NH-48. The college offers PG program MBA and BE programmed in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Science, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. The courses are affiliated to VTU, Belguam and recognized by the AICTE, New Delhi.
About the Programme
The main objective of Jnana Sangama – 2010, the annual event of the college, is to provide a platform for the budding engineers to share their innovative technical ideas, and also to provide an opportunity to share their experience and expertise with fellow participants and subject experts.
