Facilities & Amenities

Physical Education:
The college considers sports and physical education necessary for the physical and emotional well being. Both indoor and out door facilities are available within the campus to encourage sports culture among the student community. The college has a good number of young talented sports persons, who represented the college in intercollegiate sports tournament held at university level and state level and bagged many prizes. The department also is organising annual sports meet and encouraging the students in all type of sports activities.

Achievements:

For the first time, the department hosted Mysore zone VTU inter college Table tennis tournament this
year.

VTU Athletic meet – Mr.Prithivi Raj K.- third year student of the college won the Gold medal in Discuss throw event. Mr. Shivaraj , - third year student won the silver medal in 1500 mts race.

VTU swimming competition – First year student Soujanya won one silver and one bronze medals in 100 meters free style and 100 mts breast stroke respectively.

College table tennis women’s team won the runners cup in VTU inter zonal TT tournament – 2008, held recently at Bangalore. Ms. Inchar, Ms. Supreethi H.G., Mr. Cryssal M.B., Ms. Akshatha P, Ms. Vandeetha H.R. are the team members.

Library:
The college is provided with a well stacked Library, which has more than 15000 volumes of reference and text books, 95 reputed journals and a large section devoted to general reading. The library is also provided with e- library and net library facility for the benefit of the students.

Cultural Activities:
Students are encouraged to participate in cultural activities in order to enhance their overall experience and to provide an opportunity to advance their interests.

ISTE chapter:
The institute has institutional membership of Indian Society of Technical Education, New Delhi. The Student Chapter of ISTE is also functioning in the college and conducting programs related to technical education to enhance the knowledge of the students.

Hostel Facilities:
Separate Hostels are available for boys and girls within the college campus. All the necessary facilities are provided within the hostel premises itself.

Canteen:
Canteen, Primary Health Care unit & Bank Facility: Canteen facility is made available within the college campus to provide good food during the college hours. Canara Bank Extension counter is operating from the campus to provide banking service to the college students and staff.

Insurance:
Group insurance for students has been introduced for the welfare of the students.
