Mr.Srikrishna Shastri, Sr Lecturer E&C Dept, has presented a national level paper on 3DTV& multiview
imaging held at VEL Multitech Chennai on 8th August 2008.
Mr.Srikanth Rao & Mr.Prasanna Kumar, lecturers, E&C dept have participated in National level workshop
on MATLAB & DSP held at RNSIT, Banglore from 4th to 6th August 2008.
Mr Prasanna Kumar, Lecturer E&C dept, has participated in a three day workshop on DSP Processors
held at NMAMIT Nitte.
Miss Sushma Pai & Sushma B lecturers, E&C Dept have participated in a one week staff development programme held at NITK Surathkal from 9th to 15th June 2008

Final year result:
Final year students have passed out with an outstanding pass percentage of 98%.
Ms. Vaishali P scored top marks with 82%
Ms Gayathri B scored second highest marks with 72.5%
More than 80% of eligible students have been placed in various reputed software companies like Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Celstream etc.
Many students from pre-final year also been placed in company like Infosys
The Department is encouraging students in participating programs such as paper presentation,Project execution competition etc.
Mr Hemanth and Ajay Pai of 3rd year E&C have bagged First prize in state level project competition held at KVGCE, Sullia on 29th march 2008. Mr Prasad and Vinith Kumar of Final year E&C.
Mr Sushanth Shet, Dileep A, Girish Rao, Somya P R, Krithikamala, Ajay Pai, Hemanth and Prathik have participated in state level hardware debugging competition held at NMAMIT Nitte on 3rd may 2008.
Ms. Sushma B and Ms Prameela have participated in a three day workshop on Microcontroller and Applications” held at NMAMIT, Nitte from Jan21-23, 2008.
Ms Sushama Pai and Ms Akshatha have participated in two day seminar on DSP architecture held at M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, during Jan 2008.
Mr. Hemanth, Mr. Ajay Pai, Mr Prasad and Mr.Vinith, students of third year BE have participated in State level Project Exhibition and competition held at KVG college of Engineering, Sullia on March 29, 2008. and Mr. Hemanth, Ajay Pai secured the First prize for their project. Mr. Prasad and Mr. Vinith have won the second prize for their project.
Many students from this department have participated in State level Technical paper presentation
competitions held at various institutions across the sate.
The Association of Electronics and Communication Engineering is very active. Seminars, value added
workshops etc are the regular programs of the department. Many students have won prizes in state
level paper presentation and technical quiz competitions, project contests etc. |
